Supported employment is an evidence-based practice that helps people with IDD obtain and maintain long-term employment; however, since there is no universal definition of "high-quality" supported employment yet, there is a gap between how services are described in research and how they are implemented in practice. In this microlearning, we discuss selected findings from a series of 10 focus groups that asked Voc Rehab Counselors and Employment specialists, respectively, what they thought "high-quality" supported employment looked like. We focus on 5 commonly described mistakes and alternative approaches that better aligned with what our respondents considered high-quality services.
