The goal of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Employment of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) is to help reduce the continuing high levels of unemployment among people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To accomplish this, we have partnered with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Vanderbilt University, and The University of Kansas.

This team of researchers brings their knowledge and expertise to conduct multiphase studies that examine the critical variables that have the potential to improve the competitive integrated employment (CIE) outcomes for individuals with IDD and enhance rehabilitation professionals' and other stakeholders' capacity to provide employment opportunities and support. The research leadership team includes Dr. Wehman and Ms. McDonough: VCU; Dr. Ben Schwartzman: Vanderbilt; Dr. Tansey: University of WI-Madison, and Dr. Karrie Shogren: The University of Kansas.
